I am planning to take this class but did anyone take it before?
My old frend who took this told me that this class is about like the food chain and all that environmental stuff like what are the poineer organisma etc.
Anyone took this class already or taking this class?
If yes, What text book you use?

I took this class and most of it is common sense. I got a 4 on the AP test and I didnt study at all

Cool, because im planning to take it during my senior year. I dont really have room this year because I am taking a technical course which is 2 periods in a row. I am currently in AP Bio, Ap Us History , and AP Language and Composition.

Same story at my school. I haven't taken it, but many of my friends have. They passed the exam with 4s and 5s and didn't study at all...

It depends... some of them (and myself) went to an environmental junior high, so they had a little bit of a leg up.

I never took the class and I got a 5 on the AP exam. Get the Baron's AP Environmental Science book. It has everything you'd possibly need to know for the AP exam. it's all you need to know. if your school offers it as a full-year course, i wouldn't even consider taking it. it's a waste of time.
the problem with the course is that it's such a hodgepodge of random info. you need a broad range of basic chemistry, biology, ecology, environmental history, and energy knowledge. that's the jist of it.
hmm..sounds odd. One question. How would you approach this course though? As a easy or rigourous course? I'm familier with environmental science but only to a certain extent.

i would not consider it rigorous at all, and most people who have posted thus far seem to think so too.
