...Westward Expansion...

:) Wow....been a while since i been on this site....i thought is was down....heh...watever..... :)

So I'm having trouble finding information on Westward Expansion....if anybody can provide additional info on the following categories....it is much appreciated.... :)

A.Advance of Agricultural Frontier
-Planted corn, raised hogs.
-John Deere’s steel plow cut through hard soil and could be pulled by horses and was easy for agriculture.
-Cyrus McCormick invented a mechanical mower-reaper.
-These inventions lead to large-scale production and cash crops.
-Sometimes exceeded the south and their product flow was North to South in rivers; opposed to East and West.
B.Significance of the Frontier
-Westward movement molded the environment.
-Tobacco exhausted lands moved on.
-Also ecological imperialism occurred which included trapped beavers, sea otters, and Bison to manufacture for the east.
-Spirit of nationalism led to the appreciation of America Wilderness.
C.Life on the Frontier; Squatters
-Frontier people were individualistic, superstitious & ill informed.
D.Removal of American Indians
- ?(i know what might go in here but add anything it will help)?

Thanks...Much Appreciated....

Nice to have you back...I missed your awesome avatar :( .

Anyways, here's some help

A. There's also Jeome Case's threshing machine to pull the grains from the stalks. And maybe interchangeable parts came into place for some of this equipment. Um and there's something about us being able to compete in the global market, but I'm not sure it that belongs here or in point B.

B. I can't find anything, but there's probably something...

C. I can't find anything here, but logic suggests that they probably built town and houses near a water source and I know that they were spread out.

D. Well, to get all that land we had to move all of the Indians somewhere right? However, you didn't give a time period, so I'm going to start with Jackson. I'm really tired and still have work to do, so sorry but I can only give you names of stuff right now.

Indian Removal Act of 1830
Worcester v. Georgia in 1832 which Jackson ignored and ordered
Trail of Tears
...OMG, my review book has let me down. That's all it has. THIS is why I need another kind...

Anyways, I know that the Indians were moved like four times to different states, each less fertile than the last. I know that there were huge battles with people like sitting bull, or am I in the wrong time period...I hate time periods. Sorry, but that's all I can do for you at the moment. Good Luck.
