National History Day

hey y'all, what is everyone doing for NHD. I can't think of anything good to do. My teacher requires that it pertains to US history and I can't think of anything good in US history that is not about the vietnam or cold war. Right now I'm leaning towards the Kent State Massacre or Haymarket Square. Any other ideas are appreciated.

You know you're an AP student if...

you think studying is fun.
you constantly find yourself saying "we had homework?"
everything you know about sex, you learned in english class.

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

I'm trying not to do anything blatantly cliche or something that everyone else will do. I think 3 different groups are doing rosa parks and a few people are doing MLK. Also, I'm in CO and regional things are always appreciated. I never have any good inspiration. I can dig up info and get research on the most random isolated topics ever, but I need a topic about which I can go insane.

I'm not too good on these topics either, but I rememer in like sixth grade I did this project on Shirley Chisholm...a nice, obscure yet important person.

First black woman elected to Congress, co-founder of NOW (National Organization for Women), and tried to run for president.

Good Luck with whomever you choose!

Shirley Chrisholm is good topic to work on. I would strongly recommend that you work on that if you have not already.

I got bored and wanted to do a topic that was completely different from everyone else. So I decided I'm gonna do my project on the Grateful Dead. :D :D :D

That's great! A whole lot better than my partner and I's choice- the Harlem renaissance writers, and how they 'took a stand'.

Good Luck Guys!!!

The worst I had to do was sit through a speech on taxes where the audience got to ask questions but didn't have microphones...total waste of two hours.
