I dont know... but one version of the 3 little pigs is awsome. Do you know the book that looks like a newspaper of the story? Its a large paperback w/ a darkish orangish cover. Its fun to read cause the other articles in it (although theyre like size 3 font :D)
And for Dr. Suess, read Oh the Places You Can Go and.... darn.... forgot the name. Its the book of a guy who chops down all the special trees and makes a speaker for the trees pissed. All the animals have to go away and the place is abandoned. Know it? Well, thats a moving book.

Patience is a Virtue.... or so they say :D

Lol.

Well I'm pretty sure that you two are talking about the same book. It's the version of the three little pigs from the wolf's point of view right? Great book. I'd have to say that my favorite Dr.Suess book is The Sneeches.

My all-time favorite book though has to be "The Phantom Tollbooth" I just love the word play and they way it all connects. It's strange though, not many people I know have heard of it.

That's really neat- I grew up listening to my mom read me the Redwall series and the Phantom Tollbooth! I still read the Redwall books (the food descriptions make my mouth water!), but now I want to go back and re-read the Tollbooth!

Hey I totaly love HP. They are really great. I also love the 'Rainow Boys' series by Alsx Sanchez. 'Boy meets Boy' is also one of my favorite books. I haven't read for fun in a while, I've been doning my summer homework reading, and researching alot of gay-rights related stuff for my Gay-Straight Alliance meetings (I'm Prez this year *woot*)

I don't do much reading in my spare time. I did just finish reading J.D. Salinger's "Franny and Zooey" though, it was really cool.

I'd say the books i've read that I've enjoyed the most were "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson. It was made into a movie a couple years ago, all about a drug trip in las vegas and the american dream. It has one point in the book that summarizes the whole 1970s (and probably current) feeling about the american dream using symbolism.

I'm just copying this from Wikipedia cause it perfectly explains one of my other favorite books:
Reefer Madness: Sex, Drugs, and Cheap Labor in the American Black Market is a book written by Eric Schlosser. The book is a look at the three pillars of the underground economy of the U.S. (estimated by Schlosser to be 10% of American GNP): marijuana, migrant labor, and pornography.

That book was awesome. My parents thought i'd end up a drug addict from reading it though, as it takes a very....liberal view on marijuana, and summarily influenced my views on the legal-status of the drug immensly.

Another book I love is by the same author and is going to become a movie very soon I believe. It is called Fast Food Nation, and it's about....oh you guessed it. The fast food industry. The majority of potatoes grown in america for corporate use are used by the fast food industry for french fries.

Also quick note, I loved the book Davinci Code, didn't like the movie very much, but really liked the book.

I love fantasy and some sci-fi. My favorite book is The Hobbit by Tolkien. It's the first fantasy I read, and it has yet to be equaled in my opinion, although HP comes close:). The Harry Potter books and Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings are close second favorites. R.A. Salvatore's Icewind Dale Trilogy are great fantasy. Brian Adams and Terry Pratchett both write hilarious stuff, the Hitchhiker's Guide was great:D.

Incendiary by Chris Cleave is one of the best books I've read recently, written about life in London after a fictional terrorist attack at a soccer match, from the perspective of the wife and mother of two victims. It's written in first person, in the words of an average citizen (simple English and not much punctuation). It doesn't take the typical pariotic stand on terrorism, it's about the reactions in the government and among the people...

The Da Vinci Code was a good read, a really well-constructed mystery/adventure, but it didn't seem so spectacular. I think the controversy is the only reason it sold big...people apparently hadn't heard the "Christ's Bloodline" theory before...apparently they never saw Dogma...

I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan is definitely the most screwed up book I've ever read...and one of the best. Yep, you guessed it, it's about the devil. It's written in first person from the perspective of the fallen angel...I wouldn't suggest it unless you're secure in your faith (or lack thereof) as it could really screw with your head. If you read it, remember it's fiction.

And yes, I know I read too much...
