Greetings to you as well. I assume you're a teacher in Lousiana? What's it like teaching in the south, I'm a pennsylvanian that wants to teach (US History or Music), but probably up north, and I'm told teaching is very different in different parts of the country.

Here in the south we're very lax about teaching Shadow. Just like the way all the girls sound and dress like scarlet o'hara. Naw, teaching probably varies not only from region to region, but from state to state and county to county and school to school. Like all schools in the north probably aren't like the ones in New York.
Sorry, my mom's a teacher, I was surrounded by teachers all my life, I know what they talk about all too well.
Anyways, welcome to the site Paul, or Mr. Smith I should probably say :p . I'm sure you won't need help with questions like "what was the major battle of the war of 1812", but feel free to post your ideas, comments, answers to questions:rolleyes: , whatever. I'm sure you'll get a warm response.

Hello, im Jorge Satch (hor-hey) im a junior in a north carolinian high school taking ap us history... along with alot of other ppl on this site apparently. but thats cool. im trying to get into the Air Force Academy straight out of high school. then once ive served for how ever many years i need to, ill come out as a nuclear engineer.
oh yea im a band geek, im the junior drum major for our marching band. i love band.
according to our board of ed band students have higher gpa's and less behavior issues. i think thats pretty freakin sweet.

one of my friends is the drum major for our marching band, which has kicked butt (1st place) for the last 21 years in a row.
my other buddy is probably going to go to West Point after we graduate this year.
