What are some approved online resources for terms definitions?

My teacher discourages using online encyclopedias to answer our terms (because the textbook is the only thing approved by the College Board), but I have worksheets that ask about this and that and I was thinking it would probably be easier if I found it online and answered it... What's the harm if it's the same information? No harm at all... There's always alternative sources, always....

So can anyone fill me in? I only got to this website because one of my friends referred me to it, so I'm not really up on this stuff.

There are no approved sources per se. Basically you have to do the research and as you find sources, evaluate them for how credible they are. Does the site look like it's a legit help or topic site? That kind of stuff.

I got most/all of my term definitions for my summer packet from Wikipedia and Google.

On second thought, I think I'll just go from the book out of fear that my definitions will be way different from what everyone else got.
