Help Me Study

The situation is this:
So I'm taking US History right now, and I'm really worried about the AP test. My history teacher is HORRIBLE. He basically gives us an outline of each chapter and reads through it during class, not giving any real information at all. The only way I've been passing his tests right now is because he uses questions straight out of a workbook, which has the same questions as the ones here:
http://college.hmco.com/history/us/bailey/american_pageant/11e/students/...

That's how half my class, the half that knows about the site ;), actually does well on the test. The other half wouldn't even pass the tests if he didn't tell us the answers to some of the test questions as "review" for the test. As far as I know, this is how every class of his in prior years passed his class, but pretty much all of them bombed the AP test.

So I'm really not getting any real knowledge at all. It's all just memorizing the answers to the questions. He did give us a CD with a textbook on it but theres no way I going to read 50 pages per chapter and then forget all the information right after. Does anyone have any advice on how to study for the AP test?

Use the CD and take notes as you are listening to it. Listen to each chapter at least 2x. Are you using the American Pageant as the textbook? If so, just use the notes on this website.
Please tell me if i did not understand your question-i'm not completely sure what you are asking for.

Oh, what I meant was the CD has PDF files that has the entire textbook on it. Its basically the textbook on computer.

The textbook on it is The Enduring Vision, but I'm still going to take the same AP test as you guys, right? I just need something other than this textbook to study to help me get around a 5 on the AP.

Are the notes on this website all I need to study?

Sorry this is so choppy, but:

Yes, i am 95% sure that you will be taking the same AP test as everyone else.
Be sure to read the PDFs & take notes. The outlines and notes on this site will probably help you as you will probably be studying basically the same exact stuff as people who are using the American Pageant textbook. The vocabulary webpages on this site will be especially helpful.
Have you seen this website? It may help you.

Wait for more responses to your post for an answer to what you need to study-this is my first year for AP classes.
