What foreign language class are you taking?

I'm taking my first year of German. It's pretty easy but I hear German II and III won't be a piece of cake >_< What are y'all taking?

Oh and a little extra question. My friend and I have been arguing over this, but is German harder than French? Yes? No? I've love to settle this debate once and for all between the two of us. Many thanks!

I took Spanish. I did sing in lots of different languages though. Let's see here: English (of course), Spanish, Hebrew, French, German, and Latin. My favorite to pronounce is probably Hebrew followed closely by German. I love the whatchacallit when you make the noise in the back of your throat like the c and k sounds. Latin is kinda fun too, lots of emphasis on vowels though.

Now I'm off track, but yeah, I took spanish :D

Willkommen Kanbi! Deutsch eins? Toll! I'm in German III currently. If you ever need help with deutsch, feel free to ask! As for which is harder, I would say French, although I've never taken it. German just seems to be easier with the spellings and the simple grammar rules. But that's just my views.

Und deutsch ist Spaß, nein?

Prendo L'Italiano.

Prendere might be the wrong verb for that though, its literally to take, but I think there is probably a better word.

Hallo Der Laufer! I'm not very good with my German yet but I'm planning to work on it over the summer but it's a really interesting language to learn. And thanks btw, if I ever need help, I'll know who to turn to ^.^

It is a fun language to learn. A great way to improve your skills is to listen to some music from Germany. I highly recommend anything by Die Prinzen, Falco, or Nena. After a year of German, you should be able to understand most, if not all of the songs. And they're actually good, too! Another CD that you can buy in the USA is the soundtrack to Elisabeth, which is an Austrian musical. I just wish it would play here in the US... lol

Awesome! I've been looking for some German artists to listen to. Any suggestions for movies? I've watched Das Boot and Run, Lola, Run ^.^

I live in California too so my dad wanted me to take Spanish. I decided to go with German but I'm planning to eventually learn it because I really want to travel after college. As for French, it sounds like a beautiful language and I really want to learn, so I think the best way would just go to France and hang around for a year or two after school.

yeah...french is un language tres beau...or was that un tres beau language? Gaaa...it's pretty, but more than a litle confusing, especially since for almost every word you only pronounce half of the word.
