Hess's Law

Could anyone help me (1) understand Hess's Law and (2) use it to solve this problem 2B(s)+3H2(g)---->B2H6(g). Any help would be great b/c I am totally lost on this subject matter. Thanks

What are you confused about with Hess' Law? Er, I guess I should ask what parts of it you understand. If I know where to start, I should be able to help you. :D

i think the biggest problem i am having is when to reverse the reaction. Like if a problem gives you many sub-reactions how do you know which reactions to reverse and which ones to keep.
