Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
Dunno how to get the objective answers, but for lab 4:
For part B, what you're doing is seeing the effect of different things on photosynthesis. By putting it in the dark or boiling it, it cannot photosynthesize, thus these two should remain constant. No chloroplasts should also be constant for there is nothing to photosynthesize. The only one with a change should be the unboiled chloroplasts in light.
The change is measured by replacing NADP, the molecule which usually receives excited electrons, with DPIP. When DPIP gets an electron, it changes color, thus more light can go through the vial because it's clear, not blue (% transmittance increases).
Hope that explains enough :)
