Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
Lol. True, True. One of my many reasons I enjoy band. That is until it slowly eats away all my free time and drains me. xD But I love that class.

lol, i play bari sax in concert and jazz band, i play every sax, and sadly my teacher is really into band so we can't relax during that period but i love playing my marching band this year won 1st place 3a state champions in florida that was fun, though practice was grueling lol.
Really? Amazing. One of my Best Friends plays Bari Sax and plays Alto during marching. I don't think Georgia has state competitions, but I doubt we'd make it that far. So congrats on you guys!
I swear, my band teacher is bipolar or he has tourrettes or something.
And example: Hannah had to go to the bandroom and as soon as she walks in, she sees our Band Director throw a chair at a kid. Our BD turns to Hannah and saids "Hello Hannah. What is it you need?" as though nothing happened. xD

ah *sigh* band. my favorite class of the day. i love how once i start playing, i completely forget about how life totally sucks sometimes, and just get completely wrapped up in the music. on of our pieces for the holiday concert is "Fantasia in G Major" and i feel like i am flying when we're playing it. it is absolutely amazing. its a pretty easy piece to play, but it sounds so beautiful. i play the clarinet, and have been doing so for 6 years now. i am in the top band at my school, and was in marching band this season. it was an amazing experience being in marching band, i would recommend it to everyone. sure it's hard and requires a loot of patience and determination, but it is so worth it. you meet great people and have tons of fun. we went to the BOA Super regionals in the fall, and that hasn't happened for out school in over 10 years. it was so cool, and i hope we get to go again next year =D

BOA? No fair. Lucky. I've been trying to convince my BD to let us compete on that, but he's an obstinate old guy. xD
Sounds like a pretty song. I should look up on it. :D
We already had our Christmas Concert, and I'm pretty sure we won't have our Winter concert until February. What songs are you guys playing for the Holiday Concert?

*groan* we have the orchestra and the choir and us all doing the winter performance on the same day, at the same time. so i have to sit though like 3 hours of stuff. not that i don't want to, but i have to study like CRAZY for finals. haven't really started that yet...we'll be playing "The Children's March" by Grainger, "Fantasia in G Major" by Bach, "Shalom" by Sparke and "Sleigh Ride" by Anderdon (must be one of the cheesiest Christmas songs for band ever.). We'll play the "Hallelujah Chorus" with everyone..the choir, the orchestra...it's a little tradition of our schools...
yep, BOA was awesome. we weren't actually planning on going. we were going to go to state, but we got a new treasurer who didn't send in the money by the deadline, so we were sunk. so our BD called the BOA people to see if we could go and watch the performances, and they said they had quite a few slots opened and wondered if we wanted to compete. once in a life time experience, and it was awesome.

The school I go to doesn't have orchestra. D:
We have ours seperately from the chorus.
Our (Symphonic band) songs were:
Patapan (forgot who arranged it)
Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson (really, I love it :P)
A Christmas PreludeO Holy Night
A Canadian Brass Christmas Suite
Curse you people. lol. Our band is pretty small anyways, so I doubt we'd ever do anything like that. How'd you guys do in BOA?

psh. we didn't win a thing. all we got was a "participation" plaque. but that's okay, i think it was just a great experience. learned a lot. got to know people better. bonded with the band.
everyone does have different tastes in music, i suppose =p on the clarinet part, its a lot of these gross high notes that sound like squeaks. its not hard, and it doesn't sound bad, i just feel like i can't put a lot of emotion into it. we played a song called "the redwoods" or something, and it was also very expressive. same with one called "leaves are falling" which looks easy (whole notes the whole time) but it has a very deep meaning behind it and was very expressive.
do you have a small school?

geeez...whats up with the bagging on the colorguard
im in colorguard nd i have to say it is the best thing in the world
well.our colorguard is really good too, so mabe if i was on a sucky guard i would hate it too
but yeah...our drumline is awsome(wolrd class!!!)..nd our colorguard is awesome(1st in cali and 5th in us!!!!woot woot)...but our band kindof sucks..(i think 14 in wba finals)
hmm. i think the movie "Drumline" gave a bad name for the colorguard, and so people who know nothing about colorguard just base their beliefs off of that movie. trust me, i know that you guys work hard too, but just don't always get the credit you deserve. heck, my BD doesn't even comment on the colorguard during practices, since he never looks at them. kinda rude.
