e-lisabeth: yea, our school is pretty small. the band is barely AA. We have 72 people including auxilary. Heh. But I frigg'n love my band. Wouldn't trade it for anything. We played "An American Elegy" By Frank Tichelli last year and several of us cried after we first sightread it. It was so sad and beautiful. It was for the people who have lost their lives in the Columbine incident. D:

tink6798: lol. I wish we had you guys as colorguards then. We like our colorguard as individual becuase they're nice people, but they really really suck. I wish they'd get better. Although most people hate the flagettes, they're really good. (there are individual flagettes that I consider friends, the others I can't stand). Our drumline is pretty average. THe drum captian however is something else. He's like, a frigg'n genius at everything! Not exaggerating either. And the band's awesome. Especially the trombone section. (a bit biased but whatever).

capitalization? who the heck came up with this horrible rule?!

our school is big, but our marching band is small (about the same) and our BD doesn't make it a requirement to be in the marching band for the normal bands. i think it would be good/bad if we did make it a requirement...can't choose.
rumor was flying around all marching band season that our BD would make it an all-brass-band. which would mean no more clarinets. luckily, it was just that, a rumor. but i do think...no, never mind. but i have always wanted to learn another instrument...but i love the clarinet too much =D
if i could have one wish right now, it would to be to cure to common cold. my life would be so much easier right now if i didn't feel wretched.
=O =O we played that one too! it was soo moving

tink6798: you guys are soo lucky to have such a huge colorguard! we only have 7 girls in ours. and only 3 are good =(
oh well.

It's hard to believe that band is almost over for me. Only one sem. left. Wow. We just had our winter concert. We got our BD a new podium. His face was priceless. Our color guard is small too. We have I think 6 people in it. We played Loch Lomond by by Ticheli. I think we're playing another one of his pieces for contest in the spring.

...well I'm an ex-band geek too!!! So, I can't believe that you guys don't have ANY horns! I'm a french horn player and they are the BEST! lol, i'm biased...As far as shirts we wanted to make
1: THE FEW, THE LOUD... (back) THE HORNS
2: TOOT MY HORN
3:
White light in, colors out the bell :D
I still support the band too, I miss it so much, but well, director....
