Keep being friends with this guy, as long as you're not doing yourself any harm in the process. Its possible that someday that he'll realize that your best friend isn't interested in him and what a good friend you are. I can't guarantee it will happen, and if it doesn't you will have to push aside your feelings for him and just go back to only being friends if its possible. I wish you the best of luck :)

well, i had the same problem before my boyfriend and i got together cause he was always so close to my best friend...but then we started to hang out a lot and one day i just asked him if he was going to ask my friend out or if he already had a gf..
he just laughed at me for 5 minutes straight and i got mad so i yelled at him for laughing at me, but that's when he took me in his arms and looked me straight in the eyes and said that the only girl he wanted as a gf would be the one he's holding in front of him right now...
