I'm planning to attend college in England, and I live in America. Anybody else leaving their country for college/ university?

Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
I want to be a foreign exchange student one day. I'd really like to go to school is a spanish speaking country so I can brush up on it a bit. Did you hear the story on the news though about the kid that just came back from Egypt? He came back in such poor health because the family that was suppose to be taking care of him wasn't. Totaly irrelivant and doesn't apply to you but WOW. It was crazy.

That's cool. I wish I knew enough Spanish to actually go to a Spanish speaking country for an extended time, but sadly, I don't.
Yeah, I heard about that. It's a little bit scary, even though it really wouldn't affect me. Honestly, he should have taken a stand. I feel that they probably treated him unfairly, but he could have done something. Maybe a job, or talked to the exchange company, or just talk to the family.
I wish I were going to a Spanish-speaking country.
RolltheDice-I heard that language immersion programs really force you to learn the language and better appreciate it, as long as you have some sort of that language base. I have a friend who went to Nicaragua for a month or so and came back with a much better conversational sense of Spanish-she can carry on conversations and last year she took the same class that I did (I can't hold my own in a conversation). So i think if it's something you want to do, look into it because they're great opportunities. There are 'camps' abroad-I think John Hopkins does one...
yeah...sorry for that mini-rant.
...in riding a horse we borrow freedom...
that stuff sounds really fun, as far as spanish goes i can pretty much hold my own
but what id really like to do is study abroad in japan and be a foreign exchange student. i wanna go there cuz i picked up a bit of japanese in hawaii and it fun, plus japan is all high-tech and what not and it seems a fun place to go. plus id like to get better at my japanese cuz its not a common language spoken in america.
