Your band sounds a lot like mine. I mean we don't have a football team in our town so we don't play games or anything (I think we'd be a bit loud at basketball games) but I don't think we'd play the halftime shows for football even if we had a team. Our band is so used to being competition and not a show band that anytime they mention a football team there's an outcry among the bandgeeks lol.

yeah we do competitions and stuff too, at UIL we made 1st division and scored pretty high.
btw though, are you really open about being in band? i actually kinda hide it at school, like, i dont talk about it with friends outside of band and i kinda ignore it and detach myself from it when not in band..idk if thats bad or strange or anything..but idk whatever..

I mean some people do that but in my school band is the biggest thing. Our sports teams kinda suck but our band is amazingly good. Our music program is huge and once you get into it you never want to leave. Plus it helps that most of my friends are in band. I mean I don't broadcast that I'm in it but if someone asks I tell them "hell yeah". I guess a lot of it is personal choice.

Ahh..I see I see. My school isnt as much like that. In fact, my school could easily be one of the MOST intensely stereotypical high schools out there. Great football team, football players are adored by the girls (at least the good ones are). All the "hot" cheerleaders are skinny blonde girls. People in athletics are the high end popular people.
But you know what I say? That stuffs not real. I dont even think theres such a thing as popularity the way people label it these days. I think that theres just different groups of people who hang out together, some groups are buffer, prettier, have nicer clothes or are prettier than others..but hey. Thats life right?

Drummer- Yeah our school isn't really big enough to be hugely stereotypical but it is to a degree. But you're right. Those stereotypes mean nothing and in the real world I hope they go away. I mean I hang out with everyone from the bankgeeks to the assumed "Weird kids." They're all cool.

Penguin- APLAC is AP English Language and Composition. I chose my major because it's what I'm interested in. I'm a huge science nerd.
