We have three weeks until the AP exam, and one of those week is a week off from school. We haven't even started WWII yet!! I am teaching myself from review books, since we have only done 3 DBQs the whole year.
We won't even be done with the material, much less have time for review. We have never done a thematic or practiced multiple choice questions.... ugh, I am so screwed
I am completely in the same boat as you. This is our teacher's first year and he has almost no idea what he's doing. He asked us for our input!! But hey, what can you do?
We just started on essays a month ago, have done no practice tests, and I have nooo idea what a thematic is. The past 2 days, I've been really hitting the books on my own and for the next three weeks APUSH is going to own my entire life, and soul.
I think they should NEVER put 1st year teachers in. I mean, he's trying, but trying isn't enough for this course. I want to major in history so this exam is important. I guess its just all up to us : (
Good luck to you; and to all those out there who were not properly prepared or have teachers who have no idea what they are doing. May we live through May 9th without going insane.
I feel sorry for you guys. We're finishing up Carter's administration next week, and from then on we're just reviewing. Hope you guys get ready for the test!

hey, i don't know how off base that actually is. my class is just finishing p with the Great Depression right now and my teacher has been teaching this course forever. Also the AP study book that i have says that over 2/3 of the questions will be about stuff before the 1920's. since you only need about a 50% to earn a three, or so i am told, as long as the stuff that you know is stuff that you really know very well, you should be fine. however, i have never taken an AP exam before so i dont really know anything other than what people have told me.
all in all, it's just another brick in the wall...
I took: AP US Hist, AP Stats, AP Chem
I am taking: AP Calc, AP English, AP Phsics
