The best way to study would be to simply reread your notes. Don't freak out over it and don't try to learn it all in one sitting. You will most likely forget the middle stuff if you try to go through it all at once. Seperate it into groups (I seperated mine by presidencys) and study them like that this way you are more likely to rememeber what you studied. I actually liked writing DBQ's and the way I always did them was start it off with a quote. I don't know if you guys learned alot of history quotes but my class did, I mean i could give you a quote for almost any topic. I would try that and also make sure you skim over materials not really covered in class. Like if little emphasis was placed on Women's rights or Civil Rights I would suggest looking over those in detail so that you put some knowledge not on the prompts into your essay, which you need to do if you want a high score. Also, i would know presidents policys like I would make sure I knew all of JQAdams policies that he wrote for both his and Monroes presidency, policies from the New Deal, the Progressive Era, The New Frontier, The Great Society, and so on. This way if you have to compare policies you'll know what to do. Good Luck!

Our AP US class uses a review book :/ and that book helps a lot since it basically condenses the entire textbook. Studying, I would agree with marcie and reread your notes and if you don't have any, try to either read the textbook or course-note outlines. Writing a DBQ is annoying, i personally like thematic essays :P DBQs, I usually start out with a simple time period and then work my way from there in chronological order if I remember it and if not, guesstimate accordingly.

Is a thematic essay a free-response? I've been hearing the term and have been wondering what it is.

Okay, as my APUSH teacher put it for our review unit, you can do well or not care at all. I'm going to do well and am making notecards with important events/laws or acts, going to afterschool review groups, hanging with friends and making study groups, buying cds and books to study from...basically anything I can get my hands on to prepare me.

You can skim through the book, and simply look at the pictures. At this point, you shouldn't be trying to relearn everything. Looking at the pictures is a quick way to get the general idea of a page, and by now all you need is the review. Especially the day before the test, don't burn yourself out.
