I'm having a birthday party in a few weeks, and I really don't know what to do for it. I was wondering if anyone could give me some fun and LEGAL suggestions on what to do. And something simple. I already was told to bring drinks and get everyone wasted, but that isn't our thing... We are 17 and 18 by the way. Thanks for the help

Well, we all are a simple bunch. We make any situation fun, no joke. Usually, we just talk/play video games/ watch amovie, but I don't think that it would pass really well. I mean 16 people won't exactly be able to do that. I'm also trying to save money, so I don't want to do anything that would cost too much.
Do you have Dance Dance Revolution? I can attest that DDR can be hours of entertainment. If you don't have it, try renting it. And it's fun to watch people, especially friends, trying to play DDR. What one of my friends did for her graduation party was to have a water balloon fight. You could have all 16 people do that at the same time. Pools are always good.

definately water ballooning. lol. then watch a movie that is in another language and make up what they're saying. that's always fun~
DDR sounds like it could definately work. in an hour, you wont be able to move xD
capitalization? who the heck came up with this horrible rule?!

Yep, water balloons are always a great idea, so is DDR. You can whip out an old Disney movie and spend hours deciding which period in history it is portraying (Trust me, my friends and I likened Lion King to WWII) or, take things out of the movie and put it into a mad libs page. They normally turn out really funny. Lighting off fireworks is always great fun-and it is legal in most states, just make sure yours isn't going through a fire ban... Flashlight tag or manhunt are great too. Make up some crazy sport, or use and existing one and split into teams, winner gets some kinda cool prize. Truth or dare is pretty fun to, believe it or not, and you can make dares as legit as you please.
You can have a race to see who can be the most creative in becoming a character using regular household items, or see which teams can make the best mummy. (It's always funny to see the toilet paper mummies!) Heck, flower arranging goes over great with most girls, and some males too. Board games like monopoly, twister, and hang-man work will too-even though hangman is only so entertaining for so long. Playing music and dancing to it seems to work well enough.
Anything will work, just use your imagination!

okay, cheep, legal fun for 17 and 18 year olds...
well, based on what you've said you sound alot like me in the kinds of things you and your friends do. and i have no idea what i would actually do with sixteen people. i say go outside because somehow people always find something to do outside. like soccer or basketball or football or water balloon fights or just riding in a little red wagon down a hill. when it's dark maybe epic hide-and-go-seek or Fugative.
-FUGATIVE- (if you don't know)
-get some seekers in cars
-everybody else starts in one location and tries to get to another (maybe seven or eight blocks away) however they can
-if the seekers spot a runner then the runner hops in the car and helps search.
i love this game and recomend it to anyone, unless you live in an area where people shoot you for trespassing or just sneaking around. don't get shot. the game is fun but not worth getting shot.
all in all, it's just another brick in the wall...

Ok, some of these ideas are really great. I can't believe Ididn't think of them before. By the awy, what's manhunt?
Manhunt is when a bunch of people gather round in a large area at night, and they appoint someone(s) as the seeker when they do everything in their power not to be found.
Basically, adult hide-and-seek.
You can, however, put any stipulations on the game you want. You can decide on a safe house and then tell everyone to get there without getting caught by the seeker(s). You can split into teams and try to 'kill' off that team first.
It's actually very confusing at night, but it is the most fun ever! Especially when yo go to a park and play because then the territory is unfamiliar with everyone. You have got to play this game sometime; Marine Corps got me hooked at my friends birthday party.

I just played a 50 person game of capture the flag. it was awesome because it was at night and you couldn't really see where you were going. I was the head of the defensive team and even though the offensive team sucked on our side...we were able to organize to the point that they couldn't really touch our flag until they cheated.
