i haven't really had a chance to listen to much off the new album, although i love the day that never comes (or something like that). i have been trying to get my hands on Master of Puppets for almost a year but i never seem to have the money for it :( . i love some of their slower stuff like unforgiven and one too.
by the way, havve you heard of Apocalyptica? they are a cello band but they do covers of metallica. i suspect you might like them, they are really good.
oh and nymcha, by any chance were you listening to la camisa negra or luna? those are my two favorite songs of his.

Well ummm...I'm not gonna list rock bands. I'm gonna list my favorite musicians.
1. Joe Pass - One of the patriarchs of modern jazz guitar
2. John McLaughlin - Crazy sick jazz/fusion guitarist with huge hindu/middle-eastern influences. I'm playing his song "Dance of Maya" this semester with a band here at school, it's jazz, but with disgusting amounts of distortion.
3. Kurt Rosenwinkel - Basically what jazz guitar "is" today.
4. Kenny Burrell - Awesome jazz guitarist...just...amazing.
5. Grant Green - Unsung hero of jazz guitarists, didn't play chords a lot, was more horn-like in his playing, but sounded awesome, had huge blues influences in his jazz stuff
6. Jimmy Bruno - Philadelphia native and world-renowned jazz guitarist, one of my biggest influences stylistically
7. Cannonball Adderly - Saxophone player, just....amazing, simply put.
8. Art Blakey - An amazing jazz drummer, words cannot describe.
9. Charlie Parker - Father of jazz Bebop, need I say more?
10. Miles Davis, just some of the best trumpet playing ever. Also, my nickname here at Hofstra University.
So yeah.....jaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzz

yeah, I love a lot of slow metallica. Fade to Black, Sanitarium, One, Unforgiven, etc. Haha, I just buy master of puppets online for my iPod. I only have metallica's greatest songs, I dont have every single one lol. For every band on my iPod, I have only their top songs, not all of them. I love Disturbed, they are really good.
