hey i did an essay similar to that topic about a month ago. Use the fact that economy was growing into the 1920's with all the new technology, i.e. the radio, t.v.s, and the new lines of cars. these things increased the independence in women, and proved to show a new assumption on the way women acted (hence the flappers of the 1920's). This question is basically surrrounding the fact that the early 1920's was strongly a dichotomy. I really hope that helps a little, sorry if its 2 late. :)

Just an idea but u can do the progressive movement with women during the early 1900's. They wanted to also get rid of child labor.
Hope it helped.
