:( I am learning Application of derivative and I need help with rational and radical function. My teacher can't really teach AP Calc. and I have a test this friday.
Could you recommend any good website where I could learn the application of derivative.
Thank you
I do not know of any website really, but if you could specify the parts you don't understand, I could help you.
well i'm learning about related rates of change and I have no clue on how to solve the problems :(
Okay, so a sample problem from http://www.math.upenn.edu/~mwright2/103/related_rates.pdf:
Air is pumped into a spherical balloon at a rate of 50 cm3 per
minute. How fast is the radius of the balloon increasing when
the diameter is 20 cm?
How far can you get? What do you know? Exactly which parts are you confused about?
i'm not sure how to set the problem up
Okay, I'll give you a nudge: The volume of the balloon is increasing at 50cm3/minutes. Therefore, dV/dt=50. You're trying to find the rate of change of the radius, dr/dt. Can you figure out what do to next?
