Hey! I am new on this site, so I dont know much about it yet!
I am taking this world history ap exam as a freshman! It has been ALOT of work and information! I have never taken an AP course or exam (again, I am a freshman). If you have taken it or any other AP exam could you give me some pointers?
Today I am going to a practice exam. I am stressed, but I just need to make myself study what I am uncomfortable with today during my practice.. I have great resources that are helping me- Princton Review, AP flashcards, a summary course outline for world history, Ways of the World by Strayer, and sites (such as this one and the one that goes with the Ways of the World textbook!)
So if you could just help me gain more confidence and tell me some of your study strategies! Even if you havent taken it!
Thanks so much!
Honestly, it sounds like you're doing everything right. You have taken the right steps in finding great resources to help you prepare. What I would do is set up a schedule and stick to it. Pace yourself so you don't find yourself cramming at the last minute. Cramming at the last minute might help a little bit, but you'll forget all that knowledge shortly after the test.

As a student who also took it early; I can say that I understand your position.
Just relax though, haha. To be honest, the teachers make the AP sound incredibly hard, but in all honesty; it isn't. Just review outlines like in this site; especially ones you're not sure off, and relax. Don't overthink, don't overstudy; they can burn you out even before the test. The test is not hard; if you know your material; you'll pass for sure.
4 on the AP :D
Thanks! I made a 3- which is passing!(:
I think my weakest was my essays but I am happy with myself! I am going to be taking more AP classes next year including AP English 3, AP US History, and maybe even AP chemistry!
Congrats on the 3! AP classes aren't all about the score you get at the end of the year. It's about learning how to read texts critically, figure out what the root cause of the problem is, and then explain it in a concise manner. Learning how to study and manage your time are two other big side affects from taking AP classes. How are you classes going this year?

Thanks Chris!
I am not taking any AP classes right now, but am planning on taking AP English 3 and AP chemistry next year plus probably AP US History! So I am definitely going to have my plate full! I am hoping to take my ACT this year. We have had lots of colleges coming to our school this year! I have been getting pamphlets and information on all kinds of universities! It is so exciting and confusing! All of my classes are Advanced Honors and Honors right now and I am making all A's and some B's!
All honors and AP classes will def help your GPA out. That's what my high school was like.
What about the SAT? Are you going to take that? We're most likely going to be pushing out a new 'Test Prep' section on the site that will have SAT materials in the next few days.

I would say that there is nothing more that you can do besides take your time and don't freak out to much. Good luck!
Well right now, being a sophomore I haven't really thought much about SAT yet. I am taking the Plan test (ACT prep) next week and am going to register to take the ACT this year! I am nervous. Suggestions about that?
