I know that fan and curved patterns are bad. I'm doing an investigation for my class and i'm confused on how to interpret the graph.
I guess the purpose of a residual plot is to make sure that the data and graph is appropiate? I know that the residual is actual minus projected. But why is it relevant?
Not sure if that makes sense or if I worded correctly, but if I didn't, I'm happy to reword it.
