Best way to beat procrastination?

I keep staying up really late at night finishing work that I should have done earlier in the day. Up until now it hasn't been such a big deal, but now I'm in 4 AP classes and it's starting to catch up with me. I've more or less been floating by getting straight A's but I really need to tackle this bad habit if I'm going to maintain my GPA.

Any suggestions?

Have you heard of the time boxing approach? If not, take a look at this article: http://www.davecheong.com/2006/07/26/time-boxing-is-an-effective-getting...

I think it could be a good strategy for managing multiple AP classes. Let me know if you decide to give it a try. I'd love to hear what you think!

I have the same problem as you do. I found that studying in a quiet, distraction-free area helps sooo much.

Yah. Step away from your computer, leave your phone in another room, turn the TV off, etc. Unless you know for a fact that having music on helps you study better, try turning it off.

study every night a little about a week and a half before the test instead of trying to cram it all in the night before

Stay organized, make a schedule, don't go on the computer unless you HAVE to, write everything that you need to do down.

Become motivated or inspired to be productive. If you're struggling, think about the future and how much more you can accomplish without procrastination. I learned from my past mistakes by last year and now I look at University sites or anything related to my dreams and beliefs to always reminds me what I'm working hard for.

after running or some other exercise, I'm able to concentrate on my work better.
