Matthew Nutt AP English 8-20-2012 ?Dragon Slayers? ? Diction Talk about specific word choice. When I first began reading this section of the book, I had the implication that it was going to be about Dragons, and I was thoroughly thrown off by the fact that it actually explained a man?s passion for which the black man has lived in this world. Instead of talking about what the white man did, he focuses on understanding the black man?s courage against it. In a sense, this is talking about the same idea because the white supremacy describes something that seemed unbearable yet they went through it, as the black courage depicts their fight against white supremacy. ?Name That Tone? ?
