(The story starts in the middle of conflict, not in the beginning)25

"Why am I so alone?" she would think to herself. She always believed that the world was against when she did nothing wrong. Her father comes and goes just for money, her mother neglects her, she has no friends because everyone thought she was weird. "I wish I was never born" she would always think when she laid in her bed as the tears run down he cheeks." (The thoughts of a character)26

Some traits could be pride, ignorance, lack of judgment, indecisiveness, etc. Ex. Like any character who puts him or herself in risk to protect their love ones. Like Katniss in the Hunger Games who volunteers to protect her sister. Or, Lucifer with pride and ignorance who thinks he will be as great like God.28
7150711835PathosIs like a sort of persuasion. You can see this in words, gestures or pictures. It's to make the person feel feelings like pity, sadness, etc. It can be an experience in life or a work of art that can make you feel this way. Ex. Like ads about dogs where they look sad trying to convince you to adopt them, or ads to make you donate by showing you horrible conditions that kids are living in. (Makes you feel sad, pity)29
7150717811Dramatic IronyIs when you know more than the characters in a story or movie, etc. Ex. Like when you know who the serial killer is and the characters are still trying to find out. Or, like in Romeo and Juliet where Romeo thought Juliet was dead but we knew she wasn't but he didn't so he killed himself. Or, when we know who the villain is already, etc.30
7150718141DictionIs the word choice, like the different speaking styles that writers or speakers or characters use. Ex. "Hello my name is Sheisa Tapia, how are you today?" (You can say this style is like forma;), "Hi I'm Sheisa, how you doing?" (This is more informal, it's just the different way people speak or write.)31
7150718142FoilIs a character that is complete opposite of another character. One of the characters wants to be like the other. Ex. Like God and Satan, their complete opposites. However, Satan wants to be like God.32

7150719761MetaphorIt's a figure of speech. When your comparing unrelated things but that share common(same) characteristic. Doesn't use "like" and "as". Ex. Life is a game. Or, school is prison. Or, love is a roller coaster.34
