Expanded the empire all the way to Vienna (1529), trying to destroy the Holy Roman Empire.6

Eliminated jizya (tax on Hindus), improved status of women by trying to eliminate sati (burning of widows). Married a Hindu woman and allowed Hindus in the government. Hosted a golden age of art and architecture.10
369848865Shah JahanFifth Mogul emperor of India. During his reign, from 1628 to 1658, the Mogul Empire reached its zenith in prosperity and luxury. He is remembered as the builder of the Taj Mahal.11
369848866Taj MahalBeautiful mausoleum at Agra built by the Mogul emperor Shah Jahan (completed in 1649) in memory of his favorite wife.12
