851625807Distancesize of the gap between two places. length traveled. How far an object has travelled. Distance is a scalar!
851625808Displacementis the straight line distance from a starting point with direction given. How far away from original spot. How far an object is, and its direction, from the origin. Displacement is a vector!
851630000Average speedDistance traveled divided by time taken.
851630001RateHow fast an event happens, e.g. the speed of a reaction
851630002VelocityA measure of rate of change in position. Unlike speed, it has a direction as well as a magnitude.
851630003MagnitudeActual brightness of a star
851630004VectorAny measurement that requires a direction as well as magnitude.
851630005ScalarAny measurement that only requires magnitude.
851630006SpeedThe rate at which a distance is covered. i.e. How fast Average ______ = distance time Measured in km/h or m/s IS A SCALAR!
851640060Distance Time graphNo 'direction' on graph Gradient = average speed
