Is your calc BC class as sad as mine

I would be awfully surprised if it was possible to go slower than this in AB. All we have done is simple algebra, graphing, and derivatives. We are just now starting integration at the quarter. I can't imagine how it is possible to go slower in the AB class. I'm sooooo bored. Math used to be my best subject but now I have lost all interest and I don't pay attention in class. I can still ace all the tests though :D .

You know you're an AP student if...

you think studying is fun.
you constantly find yourself saying "we had homework?"
everything you know about sex, you learned in english class.

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

You must be a wiz then. I think my AB class is moving too fast. We're doing implicit differentiation, and I am TOTALLY LOST!!! We have a test on Wednesday, and I'm going to fail!!

Wow.... the BC is only on THAT? I'm sorry....that has to suck. My friend in AB is passing implicit differentiation, moving ahead. She expresses her sympathies... *sniff* She pities you. Lol hope it stops being so boring.

We did implicit differentiation, but we are spending almost a month doing the LRAM RRAM MRAM Trap and Simps rules. It is soooo frustrating. We learn absolutely nothing. I actually have a really cool math contest tomorrow. You take a written proof test, then there is an oral round 3 on 3 with teams from each school. I'm really looking forward to it. Last year, I my freshmen team beat out our schools senior team and took 4th in state(seniors got 6th). This year, I'm hoping to get both our JV and Varsity team into the finals. Winning team gets a free computer for their school

I'm sorry that you feel the class is moving too quickly. If you ever want help or a different view about how to approach it, just post here or you can e-mail me at pianogirl2422@yahoo.com" class="bb-email">pianogirl2422@yahoo.com. I offer this to anyone who is having trouble or feel as if the class could be easier. Sometimes you just need to see things from a different point of view, and I've had to try many for several topics in both calculus and physics.

So, can anyone tell me what's the difference between Calc AB and Calc BC? I really have no idea.

Calc BC moves faster so that it can cover more material. In my school, there is only a difference of about one or two chapters between the two. That's basically it.

If you can read a chapter, listen to one chapter, then understand, you go into BC, but if it takes longer to understand then you are supposed to be in AB. I like my calc teacher because whenever someone asks him to go over a topic again, he tells them when they'll be doing it in the AB class, so we always keep moving. None of my other teachers do that, then all my other classes fall behind schedule because there are non-AP students that enrolled in AP classes and hold back the rest of the class. It really ticks me off. Math is my only real AP class because he's the only teacher who doesn't allow non-AP students. The only difference between AP and regular is that in regular people are happy to not do any work, in AP they are unhappy that they have to do the same amount of work as the regulars. I sort of took advantage of it. I am horrible at english, but I went into AP because its no different than regular. If I don't understand something, I look in a book and find it instead of hold up the class, although the class is incredibly easy, even to me. I wish we had real AP classes, with qualifications so that not everyone can get into them. If anyone actually just read the novel that I wrote here, you are truly an overachieving AP student. Go outside and have some fun!!!
