True..true I agree...My stand is that it would be wonderful for America to have one..and hopefully in my lifetime we'll be able to have one...I mean have you seen that show master and commander or something like that... it definitely makes it seem possilbe :)

You got me there, kinda forgot my world history there for a minute.
But even so, it's not like this is the first thing that'd we'd change that we started.

A female president would be nice to see in the following years but I believe that other countries may not take her seriously, as they may not be as liberal or 'socially developed' as the US.
Well other countries didn't take presidency in general very seriously at first either. Besides, how many countries respect Margaret Thatcher?

political comedians would be overjoyed if a female president was elected, look how they reacted to bush and the clinton scandel.
At first I was thinking America needs to be shocked in order to accept it, isn't that how things have worked out in the past? But then I realized America has always taken their sweet time. Conflicts have always been avoided. Even after slavery was abolished after the civil war the southerners found ways to get around it. There needs to be huge uninterrupted movement for America to ever elect a president that is not male caucasion (and pretty much ugly) j.k....Any way even if a female/other race president was elected they would be assasinated so I think there is some fear. My real question is Which will come first A female president or a black president?
CJade Publishing Co.
I would like to see America have a female president. She may not be taken seriously at first, but if we could accept it we would grow as a nation. Women are as capable as men.:)
If not more :p

True, true. America is not ready for either, but the thing is, if it happens, woman or minority, we will have to get ready quick. America is about starting new things (grrr....) and think: we're the most liberal-minded society in the world. We will definitely not be the best-prepared society, but we will be the first.

Tee hee. True. The major joke would be the "that time of the month" thing. lol. No offense!!
Honestly, I think that a woman will become president before a minority. White Americans (speaking as one, but not with this opinion) still see themselves as the "true Americans." It is still taking time for America to be used to Condoleeza Rice in a major position of power. Speaking of her, wouldn't that be a kicker if she was elected? The two things white male America is afraid of is in office. Good times.
You want me to do what again?!
Why Me?
Lol, she'd have a hard time getting there. Heck, I know many black females that would vote for almost anyone than her...
