For, somewhat. It helps keep crime down if people know they'll die if they murder anyone or such. Also, less drain on resources.

I, personally, think the death penalty is the "easy way out". I believe that if you killed someone, then you should have to stay in jail until you die of natural causes.

Keeping them in jail for their life is great in theory, however the american prison system is flawed. We improsion persons in an attempt  to reabilitate them. If it is not possble or unlikey they will every be productive memebers then they need to be put to death. While it is an easy way out there are many that look for this way out.

im against the death penalty because their still human beings. the gov could do other things so they pay for what they did like put them at the front line or give them the life sentence
