Class Choice Questions

OK, so this is a question about class choices.

For my sophomore year I plan to take seven classes, that is, from 7 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. I also have an after school class (for sure) for two hours two days in a week.

So here is my schedule:
Journalism
European History AP
Algebra II
English 11H
P.E.
Chemistry H
French 3

I was not goingto take Journalism because I wanted to take some kind of science like Biology AP of Physiology, but my teacher told me that she would not recommend me to take it. The question is: I want to take two APs next year, but would that be difficult because of the workload? If not, which AP do you recommend? Should I talk to me teacher again about taking Biology AP next year or should I just stay with this schedule?

And I think I should mention that I need a lot of time to finish my homework.

Thanks in advance.

Well, let's take a look at your current work load:

Journalism requires you to write every week, European will require lots of memorization (Europe was complicated....), Algebra will require you to do problems most nights, English (American Literature I believe unless you're system does things in a different order) will require reading, analyzing, and writing of essays, P.E. is...well, it's P.E., show up, dress right, play well with others, Chemistry is lots of equations, formulas, and memorization of ions and such, and French you start getting into the complicated stuff - or so it usually goes with the third year of language.

So, I'm guessing you have biology this year, so you might be more at home with AP Biology having the general knowledge, so it might not be so hard as if you waited a year to take it and have the information leak out in that time replaced by chemistry.

Now, considering that you'll already have a large workload, adding on a science AP, a second science class, may be a bit too much considering all the stuff you're doing. However, if you're determined and hard working and willing to give up most of your social life, I'm sure you can do it. And we're certainly here to help if you need it. It's been done before and will be done many times more. Ultimately it's up to you.
