Traffic Jams suck...did ya' know that?
We went to Pittsburgh to see my brother this weekend (it's about 4 hrs. away) and we also did some shopping. My poor brother came directly from work in his scrubs...he was freezing! Anyway, we left around 1:00 and just got home about 10 minutes ago...which was about 7:13.
No, your math skills aren't out of wak, we got stuck 30 miles from home in a 17 mile traffic jam. Complete standstill. We were next to a truck transporting ,"highly flammable and toxic materials." Yikes.
Two hours later, we finally got to an exit and used an alternate route. If we hadn't...I'd still be in the car.
On another note; I will never, EVER again let my Aunt drive on winding roads. She's a good driver, but she's used to manual and treats our automatic as such. I think my stomach doth protest too much.
So... how was your weekend?
"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to."
"And God came down from the Heavens, and He said unto the Chicken, 'Thou shalt cross the road.' ...and there was much rejoicing."
I live in Maryland in the DC Metro area, so I just take the metro to a station near my school and catch a shuttle or a city bus from there. It's easy, and I never run into traffic. Go public transportation!
