Ummmmmm need thoughts on diseases....

i know someone going through a hard time...see she has a rare type of kidney failure and she doesnt know what to do....she has to have a biopsy (have small pieces of her kidneys taken out for testing) and she is really afriad. i have no advice to give her. is someone having the same problem?

Take a look at this article maybe? Just having a general knowledge of the procedure would be a good start! http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/kidney-biopsy

After that, I would just say be there for her if she needs anything. Visit her at the hospital... make her a card and get her friends to sign it... buy some flowers.... doesn't have to be anything big- just something that shows you care!

Sorry about what's going on, evilpoptart...

I hope she gets better. We'll give her our love and prayers!

Well, I agree with adminchris that you should just do small yet thoughtful gestures to show her that you will always be there for her. You can also comfort her because with the technological advances that we have now, everything can be considered as pretty much safe.

Please don't worry too much and same goes to her, I'm sure the doctors will do all that they can to get her through this. :)

Otherwise, browse the nutritional sites as adminchris has said but do remember to have someone there looking at it with her. She will feel much more confident to know that there will always be someone there to look after her, just like her guardian angels ;)

I send my regard to you, her, and everyone affected by this. D:

I agree with Chris and Bebe on this. To me, it's the small things that count. Just visit her, give her words of comfort. It would also help to learn more about the illness and the procedure she's going through so during your spare time, read up on it. Basically, let her know that you and everyone else is there for her.

capitalization? who the heck came up with this horrible rule?!

thanx for the advice, but its so hard for her...she said to me the other day that she sees people do horrible things to themselves and get nothing for it, but then the innocent ones end up with some type of problem. it made me cry...cause its so true.

I'm so sorry evilpoptart...please don't cry. :o

I know that things are going to be hard...I just lost my cousin to diseases...Although I may not be helping with the comfort, I just want to let you know that the doctors will do their best to help her through it just as they tried with all their might to help my cousin; yet the rest of the fate and destiny is in the hands of the Gods and we can't do much to change that sorrowful fact that I despise so much.

And I promise to pray for her...I hope she gets better real soon. :) But hey, it is really good that she has you because you are really showing her that you care and that's what she truly needs right now.

Best regards and the deepest and most sincere love to you and all affected by this.

Always here if you need me.

I totally agree that it's the small things that count the most. When I was in the hospital, one of my friends stopped by and gave me a card. That act meant more than a lot of things people said. Just being there is a comfort and knowing that people care can help, too.
