Alrighty...Introductions. Always the most awkward part of any social situation, whether online or off, in my opinion, but I'll do my best. I'll likely rant and go on and on about details concerning myself which nobody really cares about, if only to avoid doing the massive amounts of homework awaiting me afterwards.

The name's Jayne Do. Well, not really, but what do you expect? Yeah, it is a play on words, in case anybody's wondering. (Jane Doe...Jayne Do. Hahahahaha.) My sense of humour sucks, I know. While the name reflects my overly paranoid and secluded personality, it does hint at what my ethnicity is.

I'm taking three APs this year -- Calculus, Chemistry, and US History -- with the rest of my classes being honors, excluding two. I look up to the nerds and brains of my high school class and aspire to be like them, since my intelligence and work ethic is close to nonexistent. I struggle to be mediocre. Thus my reason for joining this forum. I'm hoping that by allowing myself to get as much help as possible, I might be able to drift away from that tendency.

My sport: Debate. That coupled with my classes demand the majority of my time, with the little left over reserved for sleeping. Even then, I don't accomplish much and am often rushing to finish a paper or study for a test last minute.

...Yup. That's me. Kinda average. ^^;

;) well, i feel quite different about introductions..and i feel that i may be a bit too open but hey, strangers are only friends you haven't met yet...so don't be too shy...but don't be as random as i am though!! :p

anyhow...you shouldn't push yourself that hard...get some time to rest too!!! gosh, you need to get some sleep! and just be yourself, you shouldn't try to be someone else...and i'm sure that you are much smarter than you give yourself credit for!

Well, it seems we both have APUSH (like the vast majority here), so I'll help if you ask. ^^

And ranting is awesome. My conversations are usually discursive and endless. And I'm getting quite good at it if I do say so myself. Hehehe. But anyways, Nice having you here, my name's Krista, so just ask if you need help. =D

capitalization? who the heck came up with this horrible rule?!

Wow. Everyone is really friendly. How wonderful. ^^;

APUSH is my second worst subject. Not because it's necessarily hard, but because I have so much work to do in other classes that I'm forced to put assignments in that class aside. And then when I actually get around to doing the work for that class, it has piled up so much that it's almost impossible to finish.

Do you have that problem as well or is it just me?

Oh, and Phuong! This is an aside, but looking at your profile, I couldn't help but notice that you're from Santa Clara. Now, I don't live there now, but I do have family there and I've noticed that everybody (at least from what I've seen) seems to be connected to each other in one way or another, especially those of Asian heritage. I wouldn't be surprised if by some obscure chain of events and coincidences that you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows me. Or vice versa.

Wouldn't that be interesting?

I apologize. You mentioned that strangers are simply friends we haven't met yet, and I just thought about it. I guess I'm pretty random as well. ^^;

:rolleyes: haha...i love it how everyone is so nice here too!! and i love talking to strangers!! teehee...that sounds awkward and risky, but hey, strangers are always seen as friends for me!! and it's actually really good to be random, you make others feel more comfortable in many cases!! teehee...they need someone to make them more open!!

and i agree with you, jayne...maybe we've met and just don't know it!! haha! :D

well, APUSH is very time-comsuming if you take it with other AP courses!! i hate that too..i understand what you're going through...but don't stress...i know you'll catch up real soon! :)

i hope all will go as you wish for it to go! take care now!!! :p

byee!
