Hola! Salut! Hello! :] I would like to formally introduce my self. My name is Mark, but because of my middle name everyone calls me noa. I am an ambitious high school freshman and I have aspirations to become a general surgeon some day. My dream school is Cornell.
Next year I shall be taking AP US History with about 10 other lucky freshman who got recommended to take it next year in place of regular US History. My current high school schedule includes French 1, Spanish 1, Biology, English, World History, Algebra. I sadly am in a school where the federal governments equal education controls are being placed thus no honors. They call our classes hetero. :[ I am although involved in a program called open honors english. The program involves weekly after schools sessions in which you are able to earn the honors credit for reading additional books and writing additional essays. The program actually started off with 36 students, but the other 35 dropped out of got kicked out, so I am now the only student out of 1,500 in my high school earning an honors credit in english! :D I feel proud.
Anyhow I joined this site because I feel it is an excellent source for interaction with other students and a great way to amass new information. I hope to stay active here. Sorry for the long intro. :]
Willkommen zur Seite! (As long as we're doing greetings in different languages :-) If you need any help, feel free to post here in the theads or the shoutbox. We'll help out as much as we can. Good luck with your honors English and APUSH next year!

Bienvenido Noa! And don't worry, we love long intros...or I do...gives a better sense of who you are. Sorry about the whole no honors classes, but the open honors course sounds cool, even if you are the only one brave enough to take it. It sounds like you're on your way to Cornell though - you've got a great start and I'm sure you'll succeed. Let us know if you have any questions, problems, concerns, random thoughts, etc. - we do our best to help ^.^
