So... I joined this site because I was reading the outlines and saw some fascinating forum posts and had to comment. About me... I like rock music, I don't get enough sleep, I play the trumpet, I draw, and I really love Sherlock Holmes and King Arthur stories. Actually, I love to read everything from detective stories to science fiction to science fiction detective stories (Gun With Occasional Music). And heist movies are awesome. Comics! I like comics too. The Goon, and Hellboy, and JTHM, and Eyeshield 21, and Lone Wolf and Cub...
I don't like most insects or horror anything. The Ring WOULD NOT LET ME SLEEP. Gah.
I don't have cable. That is the last thing you need to know about me; you now know it all; let's have a conversation. Tomorrow. After I sleep.
yay The Ring rox! i love scary movies.
but that does NOT mean that i can sleep well at night after watching them..hm.

Hope to see you posting around....
That's great that you like sci/fi books, too! Read any Mercedies Lackey. or Anne McCaffery? They're the absolute best. Unbeatable. Rock music-wise, do you listen to classic? Like ACDC, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Flyod, ect? That music ROCKS!!!!!! Sorry, it's Friday, and I get a little crazy then.

I used to read Anne McCaffery a lot more than I do now. I don't think I've ever read any Mercedes Lackey, but I know we own a few of hers. Most recently I've been reading murder mysteries and Chuck Palahniuk, although his books sometimes have a small magical element (Lullaby and Diary, that is). I actually tend to prefer outer space or future of Earth type stories. Orson Scott Card is one of the authors I really like.
As for classic rock, I'm sorry to say that I've only listened extensively to the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Well, them and some punk and metal, but those aren't the genres in question... My friend is really obsessed with Pink Floyd's graphic designer, and their lead singer is named Sid, maybe? but that's all I know about them. Okay, and that they had an album called "The Wall". Is that the one that people say you can synch up with The Wizard of Oz?
Have fun postin.
