A small suggestion...

What if we could make a new board inside US History for primarily help, so the General board isn't cluttered with "HELP ME!" posts?

Just a small suggestion,
Swifty

Just general stuff, like what's happening through-out the world right now, or just little snippets of interesting pieces of history!!! :)

I think that if people simply post their problems under what type of assignment it is, we'll be fine.

However, I think it may be worth considering adding a section for those who need answers withing the next day or so. Or for the really big assignments beyond the basic DBQ's and tests.

thats pointless.. everyone would post under the next day one because they want it done fast. we really need a forum for actual essay writing. the current board is more for gathering info to write in your essay rather than the ohysical document.

Yeah, I see your point. But in my defense, I don't think clearly at 2 am after a long week. Anyways, after a nights sleep and a relaxing day, I thought of another idea. It's basically and expansion of your idea. There should be a section for different skills: essay writing, answering mc question, studying difficult subjects, that sort of thing. Not only would this cut back on the amount of posts in all other categories, it might help reduce the repeated topics on study habits that I keep finding.

I'm starting to think that I become optimistic and fairly naive past midnight...this could end badly.

There becomes a point in time where a forum has way to many categories and sections. This makes it difficult for users to navigate, simply because of clutter. The primary job of web-designers is easy navigation.
