Outlines & Quality

I was reading an outline tonight [Chapter 10] and I came across several words that were spelled incorrectly and/or misused, as well as some sentences that just didn't make sense and I was wondering...could that be fixed?
I really appreciate having the outlines and everything, but after stumbling across a few too many 'Untied States of America' I was rather annoyed. This is an AP site, after all, so shouldn't we at least know how to spell? At the very least, shouldn't we be able to click the spell-check button or proofread?
If this sounds really mean and awful, I'm sorry...it wasn't supposed to come across like that, I was just wondering if something could be done about it.

Yeah I think all of the outlines and vocab have something in it that is spelled incorrectly.

Honestly, I am willing to help with this and fix typos etc. I don't want to just point this out and there sit there waiting for someone else to do something about it...but yeah, just so you know, I'd proofread/edit some of the outlines. Maybe there can be a group of volunteers to do things like that or something...?

I also agree with the orignal poster. I love the fact that these are avalible, they have helped alot, but I also notice that their are some things that are missing. If you are using "The American Pagent: 11th Edition, you might want to consider updating things using 13th edition. That is the version that i notice being used all across america. BUt really, thanks for having these. -Shadow

Thanks for bringing this up so I can address it.

As some of you know, I run this site completely by myself without any help from others except from the moderators (who are doing a great job btw) on the forum. There are around 1000 articles (outlines, vocab, etc) in the entire site. While I would love to go through all of the articles and check for spelling, accuracy, etc., its simply impossible for me to do by myself.

However, I am definitely open to receiving help with this. If you would like to help me go through all the outlines, notes, etc and check/correct them, please let me know. Or what would be even better is if someone would be willing to type up their notes for the 13th edition of the book. I took US History 3 years ago and have no way to access a 13th edition book of the American Pageant. So if you would like to send me outlines for the 13th edition or for any other book, send me an email - [email protected]" class="bb-email">[email protected] - and well talk.

If no one else is going to do so, I will volunteer to correct the spelling on all the APUSH outlines and vocabulary.

I'd help you with some of that, especially the U.S. History stuff, since that's what I'm doing now. Just tell me what I should/can do...
