Studying Tips

Does anyone have a good way of studying for AP Biology? So far all I've done is ready and try to understand my notes but during the last few tests, it just didn't cut it. Any tips or methods that can help me?

Do you struggle with memorization? Have you tried making your own notes/outlines/flashcards? Have you tried our flashcards available here at Course Notes?

I've done my own notes and outlines. I've started the flashcards, but I haven't had a chance to see how well they work.
Memorization isn't a problem it's applying the information.

Memorizing vocabulary words with flash cards and making outlines of the chapters should help.

Don't cram, Go home and reread the topic taught in class that day and you will see the results.

Before or during the chapter, read ahead into the topic. Do everything you do regularly in between. I recommend that you reread the chapter before the test. If it's certain applications or concepts you don't grasp, ASK your teacher. They will help you...most cases ;)
