Anyone taking it this year?

Seems like discussion in this forum is very low, I wonder if there is anyone on the forum taking Euro History AP this year.

It would be nice to have a nice community here where we can help each other with homework, studies, etc. Like an online study group.

So show your hands! If we have atleast 3-4 it can work! :)

I am taking the class too. The study group idea sounds good...hopefully we can get more people. BTW what book are you using? Im using "The Western Heritage."

hey hashman, yeah I wish more AP Euro students were around here.

My text book is History of Western Society by McKay (Houghton Mufflin I think)

Hello guys. I've got Western Heritage as well. Stunningly dry, that book. :^)

Alright, well I don't think the difference of text books is that bad right? Most of them have the same content, and the stuff we have to study for is the same, because we get the same test.

Lets hope atleast one more person signs up so we can do this. :D

hey guys i took ap euro last year and i gotta say a couple things:
-all you w/ kagan/western heritage/whatever ya call it dont let the reading pile up or do it too late at night or you will have major trouble w/ it
- if you're gonna take the ap exam, and plan on buying a revoew book (which you should, and soon, it'll help you all year), DO NOt buy the REA books, especially the one with the software, it sucks, i have first hand expirence of that

just a couple of tips, hope they help....

Hey Spaghetti,

Thanks for the tips. I have been having trouble with the reading especially, it takes too much time to read every day. I was thinking of just reading a week's worth of reading on Sunday or Saturday, and leave the week read-free. Then I just get Viault, and use our teacher's notes (he makes power point presentations and prints them out for us) to review every day.

I plan on getting Princeton Review around 2-3 months before the AP Exam.

So what do you think of that plan?

REA got me a 5 on the APUSH exam... and from what I see it's great (I already have it)

I'm taking it independantly by myself... so basically i'm SOL if I don't understand anything; it'd be nice if you all helped:-D I'm doing western heritage also

nicolaejettycarpathia, i am takin apush now, so the rea books r good for tht? like for review, not a textbook? i and many others in my class thought the ap euro one sucked. congrats on that 5! i only got a 3 on euro, but i passed!

Admirsan, i didn't buy the book till later in the year and i regretted it. i am told by many a review book was very helpful even during the year. you have more time to go through it and make notes. if you can concentrate tht long on the reading go ahead but i cant, but then again i have major concetration problems, lol!

i only had a couple of tips, i gotta say guys, there are much better ppl for advice than me.
