I have a final tommorow and was wondering if anyone agreed with me that the Spanish-American War was the most important event in US history because of it gave America a Colonial Empire with the addition of Puerto Rico, Cuba, Guam, and the Phillipeans and it showed the rest of the world that we were a millitary power with a fairly strong navy.
