We "waited" until like the 4th Week in AP US History to get the American Paegant 13e. We had to do Summerwork for The American Nation 10e. So when we got the books in September the summerwork was pointless. (This was a 1st Year APUSH Teacher) Then i got a new APUSH Teacher (mostly b/c my old teacher was a jerk and my new APUSH Teacher has been teaching it for god knows how long) so we completed the first 4 chapters and no we just started using The American Paegant "Advancd Placement" 13e. It is a lot better than any other History Book mainly because it is dumbed down for me with lots of pictures, instead of no pictures and huge words!

With the exception of computer science and maybe biology, most textbooks at the undergraduate level don't need updates every two or three years.

English? Sure, the language changes, but not so often as to warrant a "new" edition periodically!

Math is the most ridiculous. As if calculus has changed in the past century. The only thing that has changed is the way it is taught.

My class used the ninth edition of The American Nation before switching to the twelfth edition of The American Pageant. I have read third and second editions of both texts, respectively, and I can say that apart from some politically-correct changes, the text is very much the same.

Some pictures have been removed and replaced. The organization of the chapters could be slightly different.

Otherwise, it's very much identical.

Need Notes?

While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss.
