Any Info On This Dbq Question And What To Write?

It was the strength of the opposition forces, both liberal and conservative, rather than the ineptitude and stubborness of Pres. Wilson that led to the Senate defeat of the Treaty of Versailles. Using your knowledge of the period 1917-1921, assess the validity of this statement.

Wilson obviously wasn't inept. However, his stubborness to compromise weakened his position. It's a DBQ, so it's hard to see what position you'd take without the documents. :( I'd at least mention how Henry Cabot Lodge was the one responsible for the opposition and how they shot down many of Wilson's arguments. (Also, how they took advantage of Wilson's stroke to strike down the treaty.)

Hey MikeJ,
Thanks for the help, although I still don't know how I am going to write this. lol If I wuold have known A.P. history dealt with dbq's and things of that nature I would have never gotten in it. The teacher is mean as hell-makes the class even worse, and I can't stand history. I made a bad decision. But thanks, I'll see what I can do with what you gave me. See ya! By the way, how old are you if you don't mind me asking
? Can you e-mail me back at [email protected]" class="bb-email">[email protected]? Because my computre is too slow to be going to wesbites, especially course-notes. Well take care...
