I am taking AP us and i found that the best way to study is to make a timeline of all the important events and then fill in the dates and within each date there usually is a place where the vocab words go. that way u will be able to study dates, people, and vocab. GOOD LUCK.

Yeah I took a test on chapters 1 to 5, never studied, just actually read the book, like 3 weeks before the test (over the summer)

I got 6 questions wrong on a 50 question test.

I recommend self-quizzes from the textbook publisher's website:
http://college.hmco.com/history/us/bailey/american_pageant/11e/students/...

My teacher gave us his whole testbank (like 600 questions) and said there will be 75 of these on the test, concerned with the following topic (and there were like 30 topics that he wrote down) then he said have fun.

I learned the answers to all the questions and I did really good on the test for Chapters 1-4, but the one for Chapter 5, which I didn't have a chance to read, I did bad. So reading does really help.

Good luck.
