the elite, upperclass, the white wealthy landowner
John Adams,
Jefferson (different opinion from all these other guys but still held an office),
Alexander Hamilton (treasurer),
Washington (president) definatly

By whom, not who. (Sorry, I'm very anal when it comes to spelling and grammar.

The age of the New Democracy was the Jacksonian Era, and he employed the Spoil's System. He gave the highest political offices to his greatest supporters. He wanted "yes-men" in high offices so he could do basically whatever he wanted to. Common and often-times corrupt men held the highest offices. He actually had 3 different Secretaries of Treasury until he found one that would drain the Bank of the US's funds into smaller banks for him, because he wanted to "kill" the Bank, but the economists who had positions as Secretary of Treasury knew it would lead to a depression, which it eventually did.
