Civil War DBQ... HELP!

Question: In what ways and to what extent did constitutional and social developments between 1860 and 1877 amount to a revolution?

 Help is much appreciated.

well you have to think... it was sort of a social and an economic revolution in a way

-Blacks got freedom, but also at the same time were oppressed because of Jim Crow Laws

-Sharecropping became the dominant force in the south, which pretty much destroyed the economy even more because people took out loans then couldn't pay them back

-The south's government was in shambles--- the U.S. took measures to keep it Anti-Racism which really failed because it was a mixed record and stuff

- the klu klux clan and racists groups sprung up...

that's just some fo the way it was a social and economical revolution
