I'm assuming you're talking about up to the revolution? Cause if so..

1. -Economic changes-

I'd say the first economic change was probably with the Navigation Acts starting in (1650 i think??), which supporter mercantilism and which said they couldn't trade with any other nation and crap like that. That's when smuggling started. The economic changes were unfurling pretty quickly toward the end of British rule in the colonies. With the taxes (Sugar, Stamp, Townshend) America was getting pretty pissed ( :D ).

Britain was in debt pretty heavily cause of defending American borders and because of the French and Indian War, which caused these taxes. Americans didn't think they should have to pay them, because the homeland was not getting taxed nearly as heavily (the chancellors were afraid of a revolt at home). Also, because of Britain there was a LOT of inflation in the colonies right before the revolution...

2. -Political Changes-

The political changes weren't that staggering, if I remember correctly. The only thing that I can think were when James (I think it was james---- I've been out of this since may) went nutso and was all pissed off :). He stopped some of the New England governments and set up a government for a few of the states... calling it something weird. Also, different states enjoyed different types of government--- Virginia even had a 'house'

3. -Social Changes-

Hmm... a toughy. I'd say that that pretty much is talking about the immigrants and things, but I may be wrong. Or of course the indentured servants, which were used up until about 1619 pretty regularly. After that, Virginia decided the use of slaves would be so much better :D.

Sorry I couldn't be more help and hope I wasn't too late....
