Columbus A Vilian?

Do u think Christopher was a vilian or more as a HERO...and why do u believe this???

I think he was a Hero, b/c he never brought the smallpox, as some ppl. claims!

I don't think he was either. He was just lucky, when you think about it. He was trying to find India, after all.
But if I had to pick one of your choices, I'd say villain because not only did he decimate the native populations by extreme subjugation, but he also applied a policy of brutal violence towards them. He also brought a drastic change upon the ecosystem of Hispaniola. When he landed, Columbus opened a gateway for other Europeans to come, who in turn brought diseases which eventually wiped out both people and cultures.
Therefore, if I was only given those two options, I would say that Columbus was a villain; otherwise, he was neither- just one more lucky explorer.

You can't have an epic battle between the forces of Good and the forces of Really Nice...

...dunno if that was suppose to be ironic..I guess it is..but..yeah..I believe that Columbus is a lucky sailor that stumble on a new country..luck..nothing else
