Quote:-General Dwight Eisenhower would have been removed from command. If you think about the number of soldiers involved on D-Day, a failure would have disgraced him.
This one is kind of iffy. There was much debate betweent he allied nations on who the supreme commander would be and Ike ended up being their only trully agreeable choice. While the failure of D-Day would have been bad on his record, I personaly think he would have remained commander of the Allied Forces.

Quote:-The allies would have elected a new supreme commander, Most likely General Montgomery, And proceeded with Operation Market Garden. Monty always disagreed with Ike's planned invasion and designed OP. MG instead. It was a massive parachute assault that would have basically done the same thing as D-Day, just closer to Germany.
Operation Market Garden was planned after the D-Day invasion had already been made and was successful. If I remember correctly, it was planned in a couple weeks time. Also, some people think that the better idea would have been to give the materials and resources used in Operation Market Garden to Patton and have him just drive stragiht in, the war would of been over sooner.

Regarding Russian Winters:

One of Russians greatest defenses is it's Winter. That's one of the main reasons why Hitlers blitzkrieg failed so badly in Russia. Countless number of enemies throughout history have tried to invade Russia and failed because of it's winters. (Sumarized from WW2: The Complete History DVD Box Set, Disc 2)

Quote:and what would desperation do to a madman? Would it change his mind about using it?
That's the strange thing about Hitler, it is hard to tell. Hey may use it and be proven wrong, or may not just so he does not have to be "utterly disgraced" by being wrong.

Quote:Do you think that German tecnology would have worked out the kinks with the ME-262? How far ahead of the rest of the world were they? Who else had developed the V1 and V2s?
Other countries, including Great Britian, America, and Japan were developing experimental aircraft throughout WW2, including jet engine air craft. And keep in mind that Hitler threw out most of Germany's top sciencetist because they were Jewish.

Quote:delivery systems? How did we deliver the atomic bomb? Didn't Germany have bombers with enough range to reach Moscow, London? Not the U.S., at least not yet.
If I remember correctly, most of Germanies Luffafwafe were shorter ranged compared to the Allies. I'll check with one of my friends who is a WW2 aircraft wiz on that, but I think thats generaly right.

However, a long-range bomber was being planned that could fly to New York City from Germany. It closely resembles the B2 Stealth Bomber in looks and design. It was way ahead of it's time. I don't remember the name of it though, agiain I'll get this from my WW2 aircraft buff friend, lol.

Personal Opinions
Had Operation Overlord failed, that would have beent he idol opportunity for Hitler to strike Great Britain and take it out. Would Hitler do this or not (keeping the Dunkrik incident in mind) is another question entriely. However, strategicaly speaking, Great Britain would be at one of its weakest military points in the war if Operation Overlord failed. Defensive forces would be minimal.

With Great Britain take care of, Hitler could then focus on 2 fronts, North Africa and Russia, assuming that Mussolini would be able to hold off Allied forces comming through Italy.

This is all I have time for right now, I'll try to post more later.
